Mario Herrera
Mario Herrera has been an English teacher for 25 years, in programs ranging from elementary to post-graduate. He conducts research on how to teach English overseas more effectively to non-native speakers. Herrera is coauthor of the primary EFL series Parade as well as the pre-school EFL series Balloons and Pockets, and the secondary series My Friends. In addition, he has written for specific junior high school markets in Mexico. As an international consultant, Herrera has traveled on behalf of Pearson Longman, directing seminars and in-service training sessions throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has won several academic awards for his presentations.
Diane Pinkley
Diane Pinkley is former Director of the TC TESOL Certificate Program in the TESOL Program, Department of Arts and Humanities, at Teacher’s College, Columbia University in New York. A well-known educator and author in ELL/EFL, she has trained teachers and presented academic papers at conferences around the world. In addition, she has made major contributions to these best-selling courses: On Target and In Charge for adults and Letters to Parents ESL and Spin! for children. Formerly the Director of the Institute of North American studies in Badalona, Spain, and Curriculum Coordinator at the Michigan Language Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she has taught all levels of ESL and EFL.
